WASHINGTON — President Biden's legal counselors found "a modest number" of grouped reports in his previous office at a Washington think tank the previous fall, the White House said on Monday, provoking the Equity Division to survey what is going on to decide how to continue.

The records, which date to Mr. Biden's experience as VP, were tracked down by his own legal counselors on Nov. 2 when they were pressing documents at an office at the Penn Biden Place for Strategy and Worldwide Commitment, as per the White House. The White House said in a proclamation that the White House Direction's Office told the Public Files and Records Organization around the same time the reports were found and that they were turned over the next day.
